Donor liver procurement in dog liver transplantation

Objective: To recommend one method for donor liver procurement in vivo in dog liver transplantation. Methods: Donor liver procurement of dog in vivo and gastroduodenal artery perfusion were adopted to improve the quality of donor liver. Results: The cold ischemia time was shorter, secondary injury was less, the perfusion fluid was better distributed, and the quality of donor liver was better by using this method. Conclusion: In vivo reparation combined with gastroduodenal artery perfusion is a favourable method for donor liver procurement in liver transplantation model of big animals.
