摘要

The supramolecular structure of biodegradable poly(hydroxyalkanoate) fibers prepared from a melt was studied. Despite their high crystallinity, the fibers showed almost complete recovery after deformation. During elastic-tensile deformation, a part of the polymer chains reversibly transfers from the crystalline phase to a mesophase. The annealing of fibers that had initially contained mesophase regions led to the irreversible mesophase-crystal transition.
