N2 - A novel control strategy for damping power fluctuation in wind power system is proposed in this paper. This strategy is realized by an appropriate DC link voltage regulation, which takes sufficient use of DC link capacitor and tolerates DC link voltage changes within a certain range. Within the permitted voltage range of DC side, using the novel DC link voltage control to damp output power fluctuation has the advantage of no degradation of the maximum wind power tracking capability of the generator control system. Simulation results based on Saber and experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed control strategy.
