摘要

Effects of the finite parallel thermal conductivity on the zonal flows in a tokamak have been investigated. It has been found that the finite parallel thermal conductivity damps the geodesic acoustic modes, the high frequency branch of the zonal flows, with a damping rate similar to that induced by the collisional viscosity, while the finite parallel thermal conductivity has no damping effect on the low frequency branch of the zonal flows.
