摘要
The decomposition of H2O into H2 and O2 using visible light–responsive photocatalysts under sunlight irradiation is one of the most attractive and promising environmentally benign energy production ways. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) has been investigated as promising visible light–responsive photocatalytic materials since the first publication by Wang et al. in Nature Materials (2009). We describe the current development of graphitic carbon nitride photocatalysts centering on our researches in the splitting of H2O into H2 and O2 since 2009.
