N2 - The control function and performance of UPFC project are the direct reflection of the effect of its application. Realization research and application effect analysis on Southern Suzhou 500kV power grid UPFC project control system is carried out. Firstly, the general situation of the UPFC project is introduced. Then the basic control performance index and function requirements are given. Then, according to the application demand of the Southern Suzhou power grid UPFC project, UPFC basic control system is put forward. Finally, through the system commissioning, the steady state control performance and dynamic control performance of the project control system for each important electrical quantity are verified, and its fault ride-through capability is tested under serious fault of AC power grid. It analyses the application effect of control system in southern Suzhou 500kV power grid UPFC, important reference and data is accumulated for the construction of the follow-up engineering and standard establishment.
