Construction method for computer aided styling design support system

After the state of computer aided industrial design (CAID) and the cognition theory of product Kansei image are analyzed, this paper aims to explore the issue related to the construction method for styling design support system based on the Kansei engineering theory. The relative material is prepared and the Kansei image survey system based on web is constructed to implement the design survey. The Kansei image words are distilled from statistic analysis, which are composing to Kansei image database. The product form items are decompounded by qualitative analysis, which are composing to styling database. The corresponding relation of product form and the Kansei image is obtained by quantitative analysis from second questionnaire survey, which is composed to the design rule database of product form that can guidance product designing. It proves that the method is feasible and reasonable by an example of designing mobile phone.
