N2 - With restrict of market and society policy, some manufacturing firms' profit becomes less and less especially in the hydraulic fracturing field. This paper proposes a hydraulic fracturing product service system (HF-PSS) as a new firm strategy to shift from product-centered paradigm to service-centered paradigm for maximizing profit and totally satisfying customer needs to tackle this dilemma. Considering the characteristics of hydraulic fracturing and situation of manufacturing firms, it becomes essential to support manufacturing firms with a systemized configuration of HF-PSS. This paper use constraint solving method and CAD prototype system for a customer needs oriented configuration of HF-PSS.
