摘要

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) and ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMPE) with copolymer ethylene-methyl methacrylate (EMMA) composite were prepared by gelation/crystallization from solution. The microstructure of the MWNTs-UHMPE/EMMA composite was studied by wide angle X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the composite structure develops into oriented micro fibers after tensile drawing. Furthermore, the dried composite could be elongated up to more than 100-fold (λ = 100). The mechanical and thermal properties were improved by the viscoelastic and thermogravimetric analysis.
