摘要

Objective: To explore the changes in serum sex hormone and their significance in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). Methods: With 1:1 pair-matching method the levels of sex hormone in the serum of 27 AD and matched controls were measured by radio-immunosorbent assay. Results: There was no significant difference in the level of FSH, LH, PRL, T and P between the two groups (P>0.05). Estrogen was lower in the patients with AD than in the normal controls and there was a significant difference between the two groups (P< 0.05). The degree of AD was positively correlated with the level of estrogen in AD. Conclusion: The lower level of estrogen may be one of the risk factors of AD.
