摘要
Transition mode is a key issue for TBCC (turbine based combined cycle) engines, which is a new high-speed propulsion system. Research on an over/under TBCC inlet based on internal-waverider inlet concept was carried out and the flow mechanism of this inlet on transition mode was studied by using CFD simulation method. First, a new design program of inlets was proposed by means of internal-waverider inlet concept which was developed early. Then Numerical Simulation for the inlet at design Mach number 4.0 and transition mode at Mach 2.5 was performed. The result indicates that this inlet achieves full mass capture and the splitter works effectively. This inlet is able to self-start with good overall performances when it has a contraction ratio of 3.11. In addition, the study indicates that the inlet has an increasing total pressure recovery as the range of splitter angle decreases.
