摘要
Power markets the world over are undergoing reform step by step to enhance their competitiveness. In order to maximize profits, Independent Power Producers (IPP) have to deal with not only self-scheduling, but also strategy-based bidding. New opportunities have both instilled new vitality into IPP and offered unprecedented challenges to them. Based on dozens of recent strategy models and algorithms, this paper presents a short survey about the bidding strategy of IPP in the days-ahead market, analyzes the characteristics of these bidding models and algorithms, and discusses the questions and research directions for the future.
