摘要
A model of double-layered bump foil journal bearing was developed with the consideration of inclination of the journal. The governing equation was solved with finite difference method (FDM) and then the static characteristics were calculated. The influences of bearing number, eccentricity ratio, bearing compliance and the ratio of bearing length and diameter on static characteristics were analyzed. The results show that double-layered bump foil bearing provides greater load capacity than single-layered bump foil bearing, and possesses good accommodation to journal inclination than rigid surface hydrodynamic bearings.
