摘要

This paper introduces an electrochemical microfluidic paper-based analytical device (E-µPAD) with an origami architecture, integrating all features (blood filtration, blotting, and impedance-based protein sensing) required for rapid (<50 min) and multiplexed detection of three cardiac protein markers (cardiac troponin I-cTnI, BNP-32, and D-dimer) in human whole blood. We demonstrate ultralow limits of detection (LODs) of 190 fM, 40 fM, and 730 fM for cardiac troponin I (cTnI), BNP-32, and D-dimer in real human blood samples, respectively.
