摘要

Considering the selective laser energy absorption and the heat exchange between the chromophore and the surrounding tissue, we constructed a two-temperature model in this study. The new model was used to simulate the thermal process of laser heating of pigmented lesion and Port Wine Stain capillaries to evaluate the effect of the pulse duration on the laser treatment. The results show that the present two-temperature model can be used to reveal the mechanism of real laser surgery process and illustrate the selective photothermolysis in biological tissue. The pulse duration has an important role on the selective photothermolysis. The excessive long pulse duration may cause the un-effective heating of the chromophore, while the thermal damage to the surrounding normal tissue may be induced as a result of heat conduction.
