N2 - Large-scale grid-connection of wind farms brings direct affects on the dispatching and secure and stable operation of power grid due to the randomness, fluctuation and unpredictability of wind energy and further it leads to the circumstance that it is difficult to accommodate the wind power Based on actual situation that large-scale wind farm is grid-connected, a two-stage optimal dispatching mode for provincial and regional power grids is proposed to implement the effective and reasonable utilization of wind energy. By means of adjusting the output of conventional generating units within the regional power grid and the trans-provincial transacted electricity quantity, the proposed dispatching mode can reduce the wind power curtailment as far as possible to implement the effective utilization of wind energy. In the level of trans-provincial power grid, an optimal dispatching model for trans-provincial power grid, in winch the power control of tie line is taken into account is established to coordinate the relationship among provincial power dispatching centers. Taking Northwest China power grid for example, the simulation results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective, and the accommodation level of wind power can be effectively improved by the proposed mode.
