摘要
A practical mathematical model of corona effect on overhead power line transients is developed based on a concept of time delay in corona formation. This concept gives a better understanding of many important experimental phenomena and improves the accuracy of the model. Good agreement is shown between calculated and experimental q-v curves for many cases. The model has no limitation in application to lines with unknown q-v characteristics because all model parameters can be determined without knowing the experimental q-v characteristics of the line in question.
