摘要

This paper presents and investigates a matrix-torque-motor (MTM) which has a set of three-phase armature windings on both the stator side and the rotor side (DTP-MTM). First, the topology and operating principle of the proposed DTP-MTM are introduced. Then, its structural differences from conventional MTM topologies are analyzed, demonstrating its capability for dual three-phase operation. Next, a theoretical analysis is conducted on the asymmetry of the back electromotive force (back-EMF) in the rotor windings, and the corresponding expression for the asymmetric current is derived. Special three-phase currents are injected to eliminate the imbalance caused by the winding configuration, ensuring the machine operates reliably. A finite element (FE) model is then developed to validate the theoretical analysis. Finally, fault-tolerant strategies for the DTP-MTM are proposed, and their performance is compared.
