摘要
A solid-state DC current limiter topology is proposed to address the problem of excessive short-circuit fault current in flexible direct current (DC) traction power supply systems. This topology combines the resistive current limiting technology with the inductive current limiting technology, the current limiting inductor reduces the fault current rise rate, and the current limiting resistor makes up for the current limiting inductor's lack of long-term current limiting capability. Therefore, the power electronics capacity of the solid-state DC current limiter is reduced, which greatly reduces the cost of the current limiter. For this solid-state DC current limiter topology, its working principle is introduced, a simulation model is established, and the effects of different current limiting structure parameters on the current limiting performance of the current limiter are analyzed. The results show that the solid-state DC current limiter has better current limiting performance and lower cost.
