摘要
The compression and energy absorption properties of multi-walled tube-reinforced aluminum foam at elevated temperature were studied theoretically and numerically. The average axial compression force of multi-walled tube-reinforced aluminum foam was predicted by energy method. And then,the effects of temperature and flow stress ratio between aluminum foam and multi-walled tube on the energy absorption efficiency of the structure were studied. The results show that the theoretical prediction is in good a-greement with the finite element results,and the maximum error is -6.7%. With the increase of the temperature,the mechanical properties of the material decrease. When the temperature increases from room temperature to 350 °C, the average force of aluminum foam reinforced by multi-walled tubes deoreases by 1/3. In addition, the flow stress ratio can affect the half-folded wavelength or the number of plastic hinges of the multi-walled pipe,as a result,a reasonable flow stress ratio can improve the energy absorption effi-ciency of the structure.
