摘要

The deposition of β-amyloid (Aβ) in the brain is a key pathogenesis and early change in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Clearing Aβ through active and passive immunity is an important strategy for preventing and treating AD.Since 2023, two anti-Aβ monoclonal antibodies, lecanemab and donanemab, have been launched successively, starting the era of Aβ immunotherapy. This article systematically reviews the history, current status, ongoing clinical research, and future development of Aβ immunotherapy.
