摘要
Efficient enrichment of aerosol microparticles has important applications in inkjet printing, environmental monitoring and biomedicine. In this paper, a new method of aerosol microparticle enrichment using reverse sheath gas is proposed. When the reverse sheath gas is symmetrically introduced into the microchannel, the Saffman lift force and the viscous drag force pointing to the channel center would be significantly enhanced. As a result, the aerosol microparticle will move rapidly to the center of the microchannel, leading to the efficient enrichment of the aerosol microparticle.
