摘要
By the geometric modeling of the immersion heater sheath and the setting of initial boundary conditions, the temperature and stress fields of sheath in the molten aluminum were numerically analyzed by ABAQUS analysis system. The results of numerical simulation show that the maximum stress of immersion heater sheath is located in the area below metal level (0 mm to 700 mm) at the moment of insertion, and the Von Mises stress of 9. 5 × 107 Pa at this area is highest. After the temperatnre field stabilizes, the thermal stress of immersion heater sheath in the area near the metal level (700 mm) is the largest (2. 6 × 107 Pa), which is most easily to fail in this part. The conclusions are verified by the experiment results.
