Abstract

In this paper, a new method on VSP wave field separation is presented. The method is based on sparse representation, the dictionary is constructed with an unconventional way to ensure the fidelity, and an algorithm based on block coordinate descent and Singular Value Thresholding (SVT) is presented to solve sparse coding problem. Compared with median filter method, which is widely used in engineering practice, the proposed method can offer the wave field with higher fidelity and lower noise.
