Abstract
In present paper, a three-dimensional vortex method concerning two-way coupling and compressible effect was developed for the evaporating spray simulation. The vorticity change and vortex convection was simulated, and the gas velocity field was solved by the dual-potential method, while droplets were tracked by Lagrange method. This method was implemented to simulate the acetone spray, and simulated droplets diameter profiles achieved good agreement with experimental data. The evolution and the spatial distribution of vorticity field in acetone spray were concluded. The profiles of droplet life time were obtained for the guidance of industrial applications.
