Abstract
Partial discharge (PD) is one of the main reasons for insulation degradation of power transformer, ultrasonic method has attracted great attention for its anti-interference ability and convenience of location for partial discharge measuring, based on an improved genetic algortithm, an ultrasonic-ultrasonic locating method which takes the equivalent velocity of ultrasonic as a variable is introduced in this paper. Besides, a gap discharge and a surface discharge model is designed, by comparing the measuring data of electric PD detection and ultrasonic measurement for them, the relationship between ultrasonic intensity and apparent discharge magnitude is also discussed.
