Abstract

Ultrasonic attenuation peaks for martensitic transformation and viscous motion of domain walls in single crystals were studied using a pulse-echo method. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to measure the transformation temperatures. A precursor phenomena was used to explain the increase in observed attenuation.
