Abstract
The horizontal and vertical vibrations of vocal folds were measured simultaneously using an electroglottograph (EGG) designed by the authors. A multiple-electrode array and a two channel EGG instrument with two frequencies provided experiment results for both normal and pathological voice. The results show the potential application of the device in laryngeal pathology detection, vocal-fold physiology, and speech science.
