Tuning the negative magnetization by interatomic distance

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Polycrystalline Ni20Mn3B6 alloys with different heat treatment methods have been synthesized and corresponding negative magnetization has been researched in this work. Combining the XRD test and magnetic properties test, it's found that the negative magnetization can be tuned by the interatomic distance of the alloys, which can affect the exchange interaction of systems. Meanwhile, a bipolar switching of magnetization under a low field can be obtained near the compensation temperature. Through the above research, a new way to design materials with excellent negative magnetization is obtained.
