Abstract

Mixture of sludge and wastewater treated by Supercritical Water Oxidation technique (SCWO) was studied in intermittent equipment at 440∼460 °C, 25 MPa, reaction residence time 1∼20 mins. Experimental results showed that SCWO is a high efficiency organic waste treatment and disposal technique. Removal rate of COD was obviously increased as temperature, residence time and oxidation coefficient extend. At the condition of 600 °C, 25 MPa and three times the oxidation coefficient, removal rate of COD reached 99.5%.
