Abstract

The transient nonlinear temperature field model of copier paper was established. The temperature field of ordinary copier paper is simulated by the finite element method and the finite difference method during passing through the fusing rollers. The analysis of the varying characters of temperature field and mechanical characters of copier paper shows that when the paper passed the rollers 0.6 s, the temperature, dryness and shrinkage of paper only slightly influence its upward deformation. Consequently, the separating claw should be mounted at the optimum position - radian length of 60 mm away from the upper roller contacting point. The conclusions provide a theoretical foundation for the CAE copier design.
