title = "Transient heat transfer in the case of fast starting process for small steam-generator",
abstract = "The present paper deals with the results of an experimental investigation on transient heat transfer of helical coil steam generator during transient caused by two types of starting processes, which were named lag-start-up and synchrostart- up. The lag-start-up in this paper was referred to as that the working fluid keeps actionless in the initial stages and the pump is started after the heat loading. The synchro-start-up was referred to as that the pump and the heat load were started synchronously from zero to one certain high level. The investigation was conducted to provide one optimal operation. Some correlation to calculate the transient forced convective heat transfer coefficients of single-phase water flow and boiling flow were proposed, and a criterion of critical heat flux for the safety evaluations of starting processes were also obtained. The influence on the starting time was investigated as well.",
