Abstract
An experimental research was carried out in a helical coiled tube of a closed-circulation loop under medium-high pressure for investigating the transient and time-averaged heat transfer of steam-water two-phase flow where the process involves the thermal oscillation. Non-dimensional parameters, the oscillatory frequency number Wo and oscillatory amplitude number Ap were used to characterize the effects of oscillation frequency and amplitude respectively, then a correlation was established based on the experimental data for predicting the time-averaged heat transfer coefficient under thermal oscillation condition.
