Abstract
Combining the improved level set method with the sensitivity analysis, a new topology optimization method for Navier-Stokes problem is developed. In the topology optimization, a spline-free re-meshing method is introduced to achieve the integration of the level set function evolution and the flow analysis. Finally, the study of airfoil optimization of Navier-Stokes problem at a low Reynolds number demonstrates that the proposed method gets a global result and saves effectively the numerical work of the optimization problems.
