Abstract

TiO2 with a hybrid nanowire-nanotube structure was synthesized via anodization, and the gradually decreasing thickness of nanotube wall was demonstrated experimentally. Based on the dynamic competition between oxidation and dissolution, a physical model of hybrid nanostructures was proposed, which also evaluates the effects of experimental parameters on the oxide microstructure.
