Abstract

Effectiveness is a fundamental performance metric in network communication systems and is intricately linked to the routing selections made within the network. The edge forwarding index can quantify the congestion status of each edge in the network. Consequently, the edge forwarding index has become a crucial parameter for evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of routing selection. By investigating the topological parameters and properties of strong product networks and their factor networks, we have determined upper bounds for the edge forwarding index of several classes of special strong product networks.
