Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Object: To study the pathogenesis of bronchogenic carcinoma and to learn the relationship between sex hormones and their receptors. Methods Examining estradiol receptor and progesterone receptor in the tissues of 53 patients by using enzyme linked affinity histochemical method, and examining estradiol level (SEL) and progesterone level (SPL) in the blood of the same person by using double antibody radioimmune method. Results: The positive rates of ER and PR were 49. 1% and 54.7% respectively. SEL and SPL rose notably (P < 0.05). Whether the results of ER and PR were positive or negative, SEL rose obviously than that of control group (P < 0.05). The SEL and SPL of ER (+) group, PR(+) group, ER(+)and PR(+) group were lower than those of ER(-) group, PR (-) group, ER(-) and PR(-) group. Conclusions: Patients with ER(+) and PR(+) are more influenced by sex hormones.
