Abstract
Based on the analysis of a grating pulse stretcher, two stretching factors have been investigated, when a ultrshort-pulse was stretched successively for two times in a eight-pass single grating strectcher. We found that the stretching factor of the last time is about 2, And the whole stretching factor for this system were just 2 times of the first one.
