Abstract

The flexible and torsion resistant cable needs to withstand high electric field and high torque operating conditions. In order to meet the requirements of insulating materials, some fillers are added to ethylene-propylene rubber, and it is necessary to study the effect of fillers on the electrical properties of ethylene-propylene rubber. In this paper, we studied the physical properties of substrate material, filler distribution, dielectric properties and cable pressure resistance and so on. It can be concluded that the segment length dispersion of the ethylene-propylene rubber base material affects the processing performance of the material, and the inorganic agglomeration and pores has impact on the dielectric performance of the material.
