Abstract
By utilizing the difference of travel times and the spectral ratio of S and sS waves, the Q-value of the Tibetan Plateau around Lhasa region is determined. The result shows that the Qs of this region is approximately 25, lower than that of the other regions. The cause for such a lowering is probably due to the collision between the Indian plate and the European-Asiatic plate.-English summary
