Abstract
Multiphase Mo-Si-B alloys are attractive materials for high temperature structural applications because of their high melting temperature, excellent strength, creep resistance and relatively good oxidation-resistant and fracture toughness at room temperature. Recent results about Preparation and Properties of Multiphase Mo-Si-B alloy are reviewed. It is indicated that the intermetallic phases in Mo-Si-B alloys could be varied with the compositions and fabricating technique. It is illustrated with examples that the oxidation-resistant and fracture toughness of Mo-Si-B alloys are much better than that of Mo or MoSi2. The development of multiphase Mo-Si-B alloys is prospected.
