Abstract

Due to the low requirement of the heat source, the thermoelectric device can be used to enhance the efficiency of the photovoltaic module. There have been many publications about the in-plane type thin-film thermoelectric device. The structure of the thin-film thermoelectric device has been improved. By inserting electrodes into the thin-film, more heat can be transferred by the thermoelectric film. The results show that the improved structure can effectively enhance the efficiency of the thermoelectric device. Decreasing the length of the thermoelectric film is a good way to enhance the efficiency of the thin-film thermoelectric device. Increasing the length of the electrode can slightly enhance the efficiency.
