N2 - SF6 insulated electric power equipment is usually equipped with adsorbents to control the humidity and contents of decomposition products, which will affects the accuracy of monitoring results obtained by analyzing the decomposition compound. In this paper, adsorption efficiency of three frequently-used molecular sieves, including 4A, 5A and KDHF-03, were comparatively studied. The adsorption kinetics of KDHF-03 on typical decomposition products, namely SO2F2, SOF2 and SO2, was then discussed. And the adsorption process of the typical decomposition products under PD was also investigated. The results show that KDHF-03 molecular sieve has a better performance than the other two adsorbents. It has strong adsorption capacity on all three typical products. And the capacity is ranked in decreasing order as SO2, SOF2 and SO2F2. The yields of all three products increase approximately linearly with the discharge time before adding KDHF-03. However, the concentration of SO2F2 and SOF2 decreased sharply and shows a tendency of saturation as the discharge time rose, after adding KDHF-03. SO2 is completely adsorbed for various reasons.
