Abstract
Multiferroic composites containing barium titanate (BaTiO3) and cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) were synthesized by a simplified one pot solid-state reaction process, in which all of the basic chemicals (BaCO3, TiO2, Fe2O3, CoO) were directly mixed together. Compared with the conventional two step solid-state reaction process, this simplified process tends to form smaller grains, and enhances the magnetodielectric interaction between the different phases, which indirectly benefits the magnetoelectric coupling.
