Abstract

The temperature dependence of the material properties of PMN-PT-La (0.85/0.15/1%) electrostrictive ceramics manufactured by TRS Ceramics Inc. have been investigated. The measurements reported here include: the temperature and frequency dependence of dielectric permittivity and dissipation, the quasi-static strain as a function of applied electric field, and the DC biased resonance characterisation of the dielectric, elastic and electromechanical coefficients at temperatures below, near, and above Tmax.
