Abstract

To solve the calibration problem of three-dimensional profile measurement system with fringe project method, a new measurement scheme based on ray tracing was proposed. In this measurement system, the projecting equipment and CCD camera could be positioned arbitrarily. The camera calibration technique in machine vision was used for the measurement system calibration. Because of no mechanical movement and assistant equipment, this kind of calibration method was more simple and maneuverable than conventional measurement system. It met the needs of calibration on the spot. In this paper, the method and result of CCD camera calibration were described in detail, and the factors that affect the calibration accuracy were analyzed systematically. Measuring examples proved the availability of the new measurement system.
