Abstract

Nucleophilic reaction of phenyl (substituted pyrimidin-2-yl)-carbamate with benzenesulfonyl hydrazine in the presence of DBU or DABCO afforded the title compounds 4-(substituted pyrimidin-2-yl)-1-(substituted benzenesulfonyl) semicarbazides 5. Three organic salts 5as-5cs formed from 5 and DBU or DABCO were also obtained. Structures of 5 and their salts were determined by elemental analysis and ¹H NMR spectra. The characteristic chemical shifts of ¹H NMR of such salts were discussed.
