Abstract

A new value criterion which based on the least time was proposed. Matching surfaces with the objective function constructed according to the criterion, surfaces can be well matched, and the influence of the local high distortions was markedly reduced. The points clouds and the standard surfaces of an orbit and a backrest are matched with both the least square criterion and the least time criterion. The results show that the matching results are better than those based on least square.
