Abstract

By using a surface potential meter with vibrating capacitance probe, some surface charging characteristic of cross linked polystyrene, such as surface charging properties under applied DC voltage, and surface charging properties under 100ns/1.15μs pulse without flashover, and surface charging properties under 15ns/1μs pulse with flashover, and influence on the flashover after injecting some charges, are all investigated in this paper.
