Abstract

To improve the accuracy of reliability evaluation of equipment with small sample, an operational reliability evaluation method based on the cloud-logistic model was proposed in the present paper. First, the cloud theory was introduced to expand the size of samples, and then a logistic regression model was established to reflect the relationship between the characteristic indexes of expanded samples and the operation reliability, and the regression accuracy was improved further by applying the weighted combination of cloud membership in the regression model. The effectiveness of the proposed method was validated by a case study on the reliability evaluation of aero engine bearings. Results showed that the method based on Cloud-Logistic model can provide higher evaluation accuracy than a single Logistic model.
